De organisatie is inmiddels uitgegroeid tot d\u00e9 leidende charitatieve organisatie op het gebied van type 1 diabetes. Hier bestaat Breakthrough T1D sinds 2010. Breakthrough T1D is wereldwijd als enige in staat te inventariseren waar ter wereld het meest relevante onderzoek wordt gedaan en kan zo de strategische onderzoeksagenda bepalen. Breakthrough T1D kent de beste onderzoekers en zorgt dat zij samenwerken, bijvoorbeeld in consortia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-large-body\">Daarnaast is Breakthrough T1D International een serieuze gesprekspartner voor de farmaceutische industrie, aan de overheden gelieerde goedkeuringsinstanties en de verzekeraars en overheden die de nieuwe behandelmethoden moeten vergoeden. Stapsgewijs pakken we het beter behandelen, voorkomen en uiteindelijk genezen van type 1 diabetes samen aan.
