Het gaat daarbij om veranderingen in de populatie van een groep bacteri\u00ebn in de darmen die bekendstaat als de Clostridium leptum-subgroep. <br \/><\/p>\n<p>Ook vonden de wetenschappers afwijkingen in de niveaus van diverse hormonen die betrokken zijn bij de regulatie van de stofwisseling. Het gaat om insuline, leptine en adiponectine. Nog niet duidelijk is op wat voor manier de Clostridium-bacteri\u00ebn betrokken zijn bij deze veranderingen.<\/p>\n<p>Dit onderzoek bouwt voort op eerdere resultaten van VTT die wijzen op omgevingsinvloeden bij het ontstaan van T1D.
