Er zijn nog heel veel mensen die denken dat iemand met T1D g\u00e9\u00e9n suiker mag eten. Dat is niet waar. Mensen met T1D moeten rekening houden met hun koolhydraatinname. Maar, dat zijn niet alleen suikers. Koolhydraten zitten namelijk ook in pasta, brood, fruit en groente et cetera.<\/h3><p>Maar wat zit er nou allemaal in die suikervrije koekjes, taartjes en chocolade? Geen toegevoegde suikers, dat is waar. Maar wel veel zoetstoffen en meestal betrekkelijk veel vet en daarmee behoorlijke caloriebommen. Daarnaast zijn meeste suikervrije producten ook echt niet lekker.Iemand met T1D kun je dus rustig een stuk appeltaart aanbieden, want zolang hij of zij genoeg bolust of spuit, mag iemand met T1D alles eten!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2>Suikervrij gebak\n<\/h2>\n<p><em>Geen onbekend fenomeen voor iemand met T1D: je bent bij iemand op\n visite en de gastvrouw heeft speciaal voor jou een \u2018heerlijk\u2019 (vaak ook\n nog duur) suikervrij taartje gekocht. Wat doe je dan? Sommige mensen \nhebben er moeite mee er iets van te zeggen of toch te weigeren en eten \nhet suikervrije ding dan maar op. Een beetje gokken naar de koolhydraten\n en bolussen maar. <br \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Toch is dit ook een mogelijkheid om mensen voor te \nlichten hoe het wel zit: dat je best suiker mag, zolang je er maar voor \nbolust. Daarbij mag je dan best benadrukken dat de &#8216;suikers&#8217; die niet in\n het suikervrije gebak zitten worden vervangen door allerlei andere \nrommel die niet echt gezond is.
